An open house to launch a first-ever Drone Project took place on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum. The event partnered with mindSpark Learning, a non-profit dedicated to re-engineering education through educators with unique professional learning experiences, to allow students to learn ethics safety, aerodynamics and flight.
“We want to be a connector between schools and industry so kids are prepared for the 21st century workforce,” mindSpark Director of Strategic Impact Sean Keefe said.
“Students learn to build, engineer, and program drones and the second piece is utilize this technology in solving problems,” STEM Lab School coordinate Tracey Wise-Calderon said.
